Manual osteopathy

What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy addresses alignment of the soft (fascia, muscles, tendons) and hard tissues (bones, ligaments) so that the body can self regulate and heal. Osteopathic Manual Practitioners use manual assessment & gentle manipulations to restore proper body mechanics, nerve impulses and the circulation of cardiovascular, digestive, lymphatic and spinal cord fluids.

Osteopathy is a hands-on manual therapy treatment method that looks at the way the body functions as a whole, rather than viewing its parts or symptoms separately. It's based on the philosophy that the body has an innate ability to heal itself when its components are in balance.

Osteopaths utilizes manual assessment and gentle manipulation of the body to improve posture, reduce pain, and promote proper function of the musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, neurological, visceral and hormonal systems of the body, encouraging your innate healing processes.

What are the benefits of Osteopathy?

Everyone can benefit from osteopathic evaluation and treatment. Osteopathy employs a holistic (whole body) approach to treatment. It is a non-invasive, drug-free alternative to help patients restore the circulatory, nervous and lymphatic system function, find relief from pain, achieve balance in the body, and improve overall health.

What can I expect during a treatment?
Patients remain fully clothed during treatment while the therapist uses gentle manual techniques to treat the body as a whole, including areas such as the spine, skull, diaphragm, viscera, joints and other soft tissues.

What dysfunctions can be addressed with Manual Osteopathy?
